Pyramid Life Center's Food Policy
At Pyramid Life Center, we believe food is fuel. After a long day of kayaking, swimming around the island, or hiking Crane pond, the dining hall offers a reprieve to rest and enjoy a good meal.
We are a community and a family and cook like one. We have limited staff in the kitchen and not a huge amount of storage, but we strive to create healthy and delicious meals for our campers! We also understand that people have dietary restrictions, allergies and special diets.
We want to accommodate all dietary needs, but with COVID rules, the rising cost of food prices, and cooking in mass quantities, we are often limited.
If you have a life-threatening allergy (peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, etc) please let us know as soon as you book. We will provide an alternative meal and advise you to bring an Epi-pen if you require one.
Sensitivities to food will be considered. If we are able to offer a vegan, gluten or dairy free option at meal time, we will absolutely do so- however we can’t guarantee it . Each cabin has a refrigerator and we strongly advise bringing your own food if you’re concerned with the options.
We want you to enjoy camp and your experience! In order to keep costs low to our campers we have to curate a menu that works for everyone. We appreciate your understanding and are excited for you to camp with us!
